Hidden Valley Scout Reservation

Over the week of time spent at Hidden Valley summer camp 2024 the scouts earned merit badges, participated in camp events, and enjoyed their time at the camp. The swim test had been cancled due to rain, and later on in the week heavy rain caused trees and branches to fall in some campsites while the camp was at dinner.  Our troop won the trivia tournament with a whoping 8 points! We also placed second in the cardboard cannoe race.  However, at the camp cookoff our troop's dish lost by a substantial margain. Some examples of the merit badges earned there were First Aid, swimming, fishing, camping, and chess. The scouts who attended helped the troop to earn the Baden Powell Award, which was awarded if the troop met speific requirements. The troop participated in a parade of colors, cardboard canoe race, cooking compitition, a chaple service, and raised the flags on the first morning of camp. The troop said dad jokes as their skit at the closing fire, and cooked teriaki chicken for the camp cook off.
